Orchard Park School Council
UPCOMING MEETINGS:
All at 7pm in the Library - Nov. 11, Jan 13, Mar 10, Apr 14 June 9
Our Role
School councils were put in place to give all parents a voice to influence decisions regarding the education of their children and the effective operation of schools. We, as concerned parents, are allowed to speak and/or give advice on any issue that affects the education of our children. Principals and school boards, in turn, must consult with school councils on a variety of matters that affect student learning. They must also consider recommendations made by school councils and report back to the councils on how they plan to act on their advice.
Getting Involved
The Orchard Park School Council will hold six meetings this year. All parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend. Council meetings are very informative and a great way to remain involved during your child's secondary school education. Meetings are held in the school's library.
